January 17 – 7:30 PM
PLEDGE of Allegiance: Supervisor – Tom Czerniak
Roll Call, Clerk: Tom Czerniak – Cindy Weingartz – Dick Gulvas – Jay Baughman – Larry Mc Nenly.
Public Comment: 13 visitors present. Roger Martin, Becky Byrd, Tom Dennis, Patrick Shaffer along with a few others objected to a salvage yard at 4869 County Line Rd. Ryan Billeter Commented on his access ( Drive), off Sumac Trail, should be County maintained
ADDITION TO AGENDA: Salvage Yard in Goodar Township
,.VISITORS: County Commissioner: Roger Mayhew gave report on County and millage not being on November 2022 ballot, Property taxes to increase by 5%
Approval of last months minutes: Baughman made motion, Gulvas supported, Minutes approved SEXTONS REPORT: CLERK OR SEXTON: No Activity. Cemetery closing for burials till spring
CLERKS REPORT: Larry Mc Nenly, normal work load, Sexton gone till spring, IRS letter, work on 2023-24 Budget, B.O.E. work ongoing
TREASURERS REPORT: Weingartz gave report. Fire REPORT: Filed with reports in Clerks office NEW BUSINESS: Baughman to reset camera system, Czerniak explained salvage yard issue is going to be a long process, but is ongoing . Bor dates approved 5-0- upon motion by McNenly ,supported by Baughman Old business: Tabled issue, Fire Addition, Chief applying for grant to help with overall cost of addition.
PAYMENT OF BILLS: Motion by McNenly, Gulvas supported, all Ayes motion passed 5-0
Public Comment: Charlie Finley gave reporton salvage yard. Citations issued along with DNR involved and both Iosco and Ogamaw counties should work together on this issue.
