The Rose City Area Historical Society

The Rose City Area Historical Society is located at the Ogemaw District Library in Rose City, Michigan. They have an extensive archive and a wonderful website with indexes and lists of historical facts.  This site is Migenweb/Ogemaw County.

The Society also has available many written articles and books for sale including “Images of Ogemaw County” a newly published 127 page pictorial and written history of the entire county. Our meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from April to November at the Rose City Lion’s Club cabin in the park, they are open to the public.  Special meetings and presentations are also given several times a year; these are advertised in the local papers and on bulletin boards.
